Estate Planning for Everyone

“Attorneys are too expensive.”

Estate planning certainly can be expensive. It doesn’t have to be. My goal is to make the cost attainable for any budget. I will work out a payment plan to fit your budget and make the price reasonable to begin with. Remember that even though it may seem costly, an estate plan is essential to protecting your assets, and a plan doesn’t need to be reevaluated unless you have a major life change (or at the least, every 5-7 years).

“I don’t have anything worth making a plan for.”

Even if you don’t own a home, or think you don’t have enough “stuff” to make a plan, everyone needs one. If you have stuff in your place, kids, pets, etc., you have enough stuff to make a plan.

“Why do I even need a plan?”

Estate planning is not just about who gets your assets when you die. It’s also about who makes healthcare decisions for you, should you be unable to make them for yourself. The law has a hierarchy for those who don’t have a plan. But you may not want those people making your decisions for you, and they may not know what your wishes are. An estate plan gives your designated person specific directions about what you want. You can also designate things like where you want to be buried, whether you want to be cremated, etc.

“Estate planning is too difficult, and I don’t know where to start.”

Send me an e-mail for the form to complete to get started. Don’t be overwhelmed by it, some of it may not apply to you. Mark it “n/a” and complete what you can. Once the form is completed, e-mail it to me and we will evaluate what you need and what the cost will be. Consultations are free and can be done via phone or Zoom.
